Festival of Praise (FOP) is a free annual musical event that hosts a night of praise, worship and prayer for the city of Manchester and the United Kingdom. Its first edition was held in 2011 at the O2 Apollo Theatre Manchester. It came about because of a long-awaited vision given to the Senior Pastor of Jubilee Church - Pastor Abimbola and Folu Komolafe. After earnestly seeking the face of God for revival and the growth of the body of Christ in Manchester and the UK at large, this vision was birthed and resulted in the catalyst for revival called Festival of Praise.

Apart from promoting revival in the city of Manchester and the United Kingdom, FOP is also an avenue for bringing together people of diverse backgrounds and cultures from across the UK to celebrate our faith in Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world and also encourage community cohesion. The Christian Community in Manchester and UK has rallied behind the vision of making Festival of Praise a successful annual event.

Nathaniel Bassey

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Nathaniel Bassey has always had a passion for music, which grew and translated into various musical experiences over the years.

In his early years, he developed a deep interest in Jazz music and served as a band leader and lead trumpeter for two years before continuing his career. As he developed an intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, Pastor Nat (as he is fondly called) realized that music was more than just entertainment; it was a fundamental tool for praising and worshiping the Lord. Soon after, his music ministry was born, with the main focus being worship. His trumpet playing, combined with his calm singing style, has since led many into the presence of the Lord in concerts, crusades, and churches.

In addition to ministering around the world, he currently serves as the music director at the RCCG Kings Court and is the convener of the world-renowned Hallelujah Challenge, a bi-yearly online prayer event that began on Instagram.

Mercy Chinwo

Born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, is a gospel singer, actress, public speaker, and ambassador of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She started singing at age 8 in her church’s children’s choir and gained prominence in 2012 by winning Nigerian Idol Season 21. Influenced by artists like Chris Morgan, Chioma Jesus, and Tasha Cobbs, Mercy released her first solo single, "Testimony," in 2015, followed by "Igwe" in 2016.

In 2017, she signed with EeZee Concepts and released two albums: My Cross My Gaze (2018) and Satisfied (2020). Her singles, including "Excess Love," "Omekannaya," "Chinedum," "Onememma," and "Yahweh," have resonated with audiences worldwide.

Mercy has received numerous awards, such as Best Gospel Artiste at the Climax Awards 2018 and Africa Gospel New Artiste of the Year at the Africa Gospel Awards Festival 2019. In 2023, she launched the MercyisBlessed Foundation, focusing on donations to the less privileged and youth development.

Steve Tebb

Steve Tebb has been leading worship for over 15 years and travels full time as an itinerant Worship Leader and Prophet with a heart to bless and equip churches, communities and ministries around the UK. He also travels internationally, leading worship as well as speaking, equipping, training and mentoring. He is a songwriter and records music with various artists regularly.

Steve is passionate about seeing the true worshippers of God being awakened in the global body through corporate worship with fresh fire and love for Jesus. His desire is that it would lead to lives healed, set free, delivered, transformed and renewed by the glory of God, so they can carry out the gospel and kingdom of God on earth.

He is a strong prophetic voice and his greatest joy is to see the Great Commission fulfilled through the prizing of intimacy and the pursuit of God's presence becoming a daily reality for believers. Click here for more information about Steve.

Tope Alabi

Tope Alabi is a Nigerian gospel singer, film music composer, and actress. From a young age, she envisioned herself singing in stadiums and joined the choir in her local Catholic church at age 7. Tope was formerly a member of the Jesters International comedy group and made films in the Yoruba film genre of Nigeria. She later metamorphosed into gospel music after becoming a born-again Christian.

Globally recognized for her unique voice and songs in the Yoruba language, Tope seamlessly blends modern and traditional beats in her music. She released her debut album, "Ore ti O Common," in 2001, which gained significant popularity. Since then, she has released many more albums, including her collaboration with TY Bello - "Spirit of Light".

Throughout her career, Tope Alabi has composed over 350 soundtracks for Yoruba-language films, using her powerful vocal delivery and spiritually uplifting lyrics to resonate with audiences worldwide. Her music continues to inspire and uplift, making a significant impact on the gospel music scene in Nigeria and beyond.

Dunsin Oyekan

Dunsin Oyekan is one of Nigeria’s most loved psalmists. He began playing the guitar at age 10, encouraged by his father who once led the music group ‘Spiritual Singers’, a music group focused on experiencing God through worship. In 2014, God called him fully into the worship ministry.
Fondly called ‘The Eagle’, Dunsin is a full-time worshipper and has dedicated his life to bringing the God dimension to the world through sounds imparted to him by the Holy Spirit. His passion is worshipping Jesus and leading others closer to Him through music.

Dunsin has shared stages with gospel music ministers including Tasha Cobbs, Kurt Carr, Don Moen, Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett, William Murphy, Kim Burrell, Sinach, Freke Umoh, Micah Stampley to mention a few. He is also considered an influential personnel in the Nigerian Christian Ministry.
He is the convener of Upper Room, a weekly worship experience, The Outpouring, a revival meeting, and Code Red, an annual worship experience.

Graham Kendrick

Graham Kendrick is a British Christian singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He is the son of Baptist pastor M. D. Kendrick and grew up in Laindon, Essex, and Putney. He is known as a pioneer of modern worship music, with songs that are rich in poetic and biblical truth.

Kendrick began his songwriting career in the late 1960s and gained prominence with his song "Shine, Jesus, Shine," which has become one of the most widely sung contemporary worship songs worldwide. He has written and recorded over 450 songs, many of which are sung globally.

He is also a co-founder of the global movement March for Jesus, which mobilized millions of Christians to bring worship onto the streets. Kendrick has received several honors, including honorary doctorates from London School of Theology and Brunel University, and a Dove Award for his international work.

Based in the UK, Kendrick continues to travel internationally, participating in tours, festivals, conferences, and training events as a worship leader, speaker, and performer. Lou Fellingham

If you’ve spent any time listening to Christian music, the chances are you’ve already heard Lou Fellingham sing. Not only as a songwriter and worship leader but as a woman who has been an ever-present in the music industry for the last 20 years. An internationally known worship leader, Lou is five albums into a firmly-established ministry. She is known for her prophetic edge, distinctive voice, and unwavering energy to see lives changed through the power of music and word.

With her husband Nathan, Lou leads worship every week from 8:30-9am, streaming on YouTube and Facebook. She also hosts a coffee morning online event with worship, word, and guest interviews. With a heart that longs for people to know God and His outrageous love, Lou is tireless in her pursuit to write and record powerful songs and to lead people in singing truth that lifts their heads and stirs their hearts. Faithchild

Faithchild is a British Christian rapper, songwriter, and presenter. Known for his eclectic blend of rap, electro, and pop, Faithchild has been at the forefront of urban music in the Christian community for over a decade.

Faithchild's music career began at age 11 when he joined the rap group Godz Inheritorz. His debut album, "Illumination," was released in 2009 and became the fastest-selling rap album in UK Gospel that year. His second album, "Airborne," released in 2015, peaked at number 5 in the Official Charts - Christian and Gospel. He has won multiple awards, including a MOBO Award for Best Gospel Act in 2015.

Faithchild is known for his powerful performances and has toured over 20 countries, performing to audiences ranging from intimate settings to large crowds of over 50,000 people. His latest music offerings, "New Era" and "Creator of the World," reveal more of his personal journey and growth as an artist.

Elle Limebear

Elle is a British worship leader, artist and storyteller, residing in Brighton with her husband and their two children. She has been writing music and leading worship since her teenage years. After spending over a decade touring across the USA and Europe, she remains deeply connected to her British roots. Passionate about enriching the musical faith landscape in her homeland, she is determined to make a unique and lasting impact on both the British and global music scenes.

Shaped by personal growth, marriage, and motherhood, Elle Limebear has emerged as a confident artist with a fearless pursuit of joy. Her music blends powerful, ethereal vocals with electric and alternative pop, guiding listeners through life's highs and lows.

Warehouse Worship

This is a dynamic collective of young, talented musicians and singers from the UK, founded in 2022. Originating from the powerful movement of Encounter Nights, Warehouse Worship has quickly risen to prominence within the contemporary Christian music scene. Known for their passionate worship and heartfelt performances, they have captivated audiences across the UK, drawing crowds of around 15,000 attendees to their tours.

Warehouse Worship's journey is marked by a commitment to authenticity and excellence, making each worship session a powerful encounter with the divine.

Bidemi Olaoba

Bidemi Olaoba, born in Lagos, Nigeria, is a dynamic gospel singer, songwriter, and music composer. Known for his unique blend of Gospel HighLife music with a Fuji twist, Bidemi has made a significant impact on the gospel music scene with his soulful voice and meaningful lyrics.

Bidemi's musical journey began in his church choir, where he honed his skills as a worship leader. He gained recognition with the release of his debut single, "Final Say," in 2016, which introduced his trademark phrase, "The Bible Says." This song marked the official start of his music career and resonated with listeners seeking messages of faith and hope.

Chevelle Franklyn

Chevelle Franklyn is an acclaimed Jamaican gospel reggae singer. When one thinks of an artist whose music career spans over three decades, has made stops along world tours in South Africa, the United Kingdom, The Middle East, Asia, Austria, Germany, Holland, France, the US, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, Zimbabwe Zambia, and Kenya, and has collaborated with renowned artists like Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton, Micah Stampley and Lionel Petersen – then the name has to be none other than Chevelle Franklyn.

Currently considered as one of the world’s leading psalmists, Chevelle’s string of successful albums includes “Serious Girl” in 1996 and “Joy” in 2001. She produced “Shake It Off” during her 2007 South African tour and “Set Time” in 2017. “Set Time” included tracks featuring Israel Houghton and Donnie McClurkin. Philippa Hanna

PHILIPPA HANNA is an internationally acclaimed performer racking up over 1500 shows in 25 countries. Since her industry debut in 2007, she has released 5 critically acclaimed studio albums and published two books, winning fans in the likes of Leona Lewis, Lionel Richie and Little Mix. The Yorkshire born, half-Irish, Singer-Songwriter is a rarity in the UK Music Industry, bridging the elusive gap between Gospel, Pop and Country music.

Known for her relatable songs and soulful, Country-tinged vocals, Philippa has drawn comparisons to the likes of Ed Sheeran, Dolly-Parton and Taylor Swift. ‘Move over Taylor Swift’ [Maverick Magazine]. Her online videos have racked up millions of hits with her Gospel version of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ tipping almost a million Facebook shares. FOP Mass Choir

The festival of life praise mass choir, popularly called the FOP MASS CHOIR is a coming together of choristers from churches and ministries across the city of Manchester and the north of England. Their hearts cry is to raise an altar of worship unto God in Manchester to birth the revival and love of God in the city and nation. They are spirit filled ministries who worship God in spirit and in truth.
